The 6th edition of Rajasthan Kabir Yatra drifted its experience at the idyllic frontiers of Fateh Sagar Pal, Udaipur in Oct’22. The event was unfurled by the prince of Udaipur, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar with other esteemed officers and dignitaries. The night glistened with the much-cherished songs of Kabir and sizzling organic food served by our collaborator Banayan Roots. With the clamorous excitement of over 300 yatris, hundreds of artists, and numberless locals, the event got an overwhelming response. The buses rolled its wheel from our first lodgings at Pacific University and further toured exploring the rich biodiversity of Phalasiya and Kotra, whose mellow welcome indeed had the heart of our yatris. The stunning Nau chauki at Rajasamand, the community food at salumbar and the marvels of the Kumbhalgarh Fort imbued an otherworldly spark to our expedition. This journey lived with cluttered adventures dispersed with a formal music & dine event hosted at the Manipal University, Jaipur.
With immersive morning satsang pulsated with the tinklings of cymbals and the tabura setting stars to the day, the much busier yet lively nights filled an unparalleled passion for the poetries of age-old saints and seers giving no rests to the palpable joy of our companions. Whether be our dear Shabnam Viramani’s ‘Tu Jhoom’ or the robust voice of Mooralaji making the love of Meera bai sing alive, our countless-colorful artists were indeed the heart of our yatra.
The rigor of the journey could have been incomplete without the collaboration of the Rajasthan Police with it’s initiative Project Taana Baana. An experience put together by numberless supporters and true critics, with sleepless support shown by our dearest team and volunteers, RKY’22 undoubtedly shined on the firmaments of our purpose of spreading the light of love and joy amid our society.
